2025 Colorado Hunting Season Dates
Archery:
- Deer and Elk, September 2nd – September 30th
- New for 2025: Elk and Deer are draw only for non-residents; Elk is over-the-counter for residents
- Moose, September 6th – September 30th
- Pronghorn (Bucks Only), August 15th – August 31st
- Pronghorn (Either Sex), September 1st – September 21st
Muzzleloading:
- Elk, Deer, and Moose, September 13th – September 21st (Draw Only)
Rifle Seasons:
- Moose, October 1st – October 14th
- 1st Pronghorn, October 4th – October 12th
- New: 2nd Pronghorn, Oct. 18th-Oct. 26th
Elk and Deer:
- New: 1st: Now Combined Deer/Elk, Oct. 8th- 12th, (Draw Only)
- 2nd: Combined Deer/Elk, October 25th – November 2nd
- 3rd: Combined Deer/Elk, November 8th – November 16th
- 4th: Combined Deer/Elk, November 19th – November 23rd (Draw Only)
Cow:
- Private Land – Cow Only, August 15th – January 31st (Draw Only)
- New – This season could include some bull hunting in addition to cows, based on population numbers.
The deadline for applying for one of the special, draw-only licenses is April 1, 2025. (1st Tuesday in April)
